What stays in your browser
The trade checklist stores checked step IDs in localStorage on this site’s origin. Language changes use the same record; clearing site data removes that progress. Emulator selections and typed save filenames are processed in page memory. The separate ROM checker uses the browser File API to read the selected file in chunks in local memory and calculate CRC32. It does not upload, persist, patch or modify the file. Its filename, size and result appear on the current page. The save-filename checker reads typed names only and never opens a file.
TXT downloads
The emulator support diagnostic, save-filename diagnostic, ROM size/CRC32 diagnostic and trade checklist can be downloaded as TXT when you choose Download. The save and ROM diagnostics include the input filenames; the ROM diagnostic also includes file size and CRC32 when calculated, but not the file’s contents. Your browser generates the TXT locally. The tools do not upload these inputs or add persistent report storage; the checklist’s existing step storage remains separate. A downloaded TXT is a copy saved through your browser. Review filenames and any personal information before sharing it. Sharing is optional: inspect the downloaded TXT, remove personal details, and send it yourself only if you choose to. Downloading a report does not send it to us or anyone else.
Network requests and links
Pages, styles, scripts, images and self-hosted fonts are delivered by this site’s hosting providers. They may process technical requests, including IP addresses and browser headers, to deliver and protect the site. Google Analytics requests described below occur only after you accept statistics. External source links open sites with their own data practices; no third-party videos are embedded here.
Email messages you choose to send
Messages you choose to send to our published addresses pass through Cloudflare Email Routing to our destination mailbox. Your sending email provider, Cloudflare and the destination mailbox provider process the sender address, message, attachments and delivery metadata as needed to send, route and receive it. The destination provider handles mailbox delivery and storage under its own practices. The site does not automatically email reports or game files.
Optional Google Analytics 4
Google Analytics 4 loads only after you explicitly choose “Accept statistics”. With no accepted choice or after “Reject statistics”, this site does not load Google Analytics or send statistics requests to Google. Your choice uses a separate localStorage preference when browser storage is available; it is not the trade checklist record.
After acceptance, GA4 may use _ga and _ga_* cookies, and Google processes associated browser, connection and analytics information. Our code sends page_view for the page title and page address with query and fragment removed. Same-site referrers omit query and fragment; external referrers are reduced to their origin. We do not send ROMs, filenames, tool inputs or outputs. Advertising personalization is disabled for this setup.
Open “Statistics settings” in the footer at any time to change or withdraw consent. Withdrawal stops analytics, removes this site’s accessible _ga cookies and reloads the page; it does not remove data already received by Google. Your downloaded TXT files and trade checklist remain separate. The official links below explain Google’s practices and its optional opt-out add-on, whose browser support is determined by Google. If the browser cannot update the saved choice, follow the settings message to clear this site’s data before reloading.
Advertising is not active
If Google advertising is introduced later, this policy must be updated to reflect actual cookies, identifiers, vendors and consent behavior. Google and other vendors may use cookies based on prior visits to this or other websites. Personalized advertising choices are available at Google Ads Settings. Advertising and any required consent implementation must be reviewed before activation.
Control and scope
Use Reset checklist or clear this site’s browser data to remove saved step IDs. These controls do not delete TXT files already downloaded; manage those copies on your device. The tools do not request precise location, payment details or public submissions. The Contact page states whether a verified email channel is available.
